Steve Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I was quite surprised how cheap bronze Roman coins are on eBay. especially when they are not cleaned. I googled why and seems they produced so many bronze coins that many survived. Saying that silver and gold roman coins are a kettle of fish cost wise, there is a gold coin going on eBay for £135,000... sweet find. 1
Dorsetman Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 It's still amazing to find anything old (even early 20th century) and particularly something as old as Roman civilisation. Â

thats what i was thinking.. to think that someone has held that coin and used it to buy a loaf. I was saying to the wife about how many pots of gold there are out there. I bet there are loads. 1
