  1. Farnborough Air Sciences Trust (FAST) exists to safeguard and promote Farnborough’s great heritage in aviation science. The FAST Museum adjacent to Farnborough Airfield holds a collection of aircraft (actual and model), satellites, simulators and other unique materials related to Farnborough’s world-famous Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE). FAST also offers exclusive guided tours of areas of Farnborough’s historic aviation quarter not normally open to the public. Entrance is Free but donations are appreciated https://airsciences.org.uk/museum/
  2. They say "if it flies it then Farnborough has had some involvement with it" and has done for over a century. Farnborough is where I have lived and worked for many years and the Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE) based at the airfield site had involvement with the Ministry of Defence during the World Wars and later, the Cold War. After many years of service, they deemed it unnecessary to continue their relationship and closed the doors. There are still museums and many other remnants of Farnborough's glorious connection with flight and is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, especially if you are lucky enough to visit during the Air Show week. Farnborough Air Sciences Museum hosts a replica of Colonel Cody's aircraft which flew from Farnborough in the inaugural days of flight https://airsciences.org.uk/museum/
